Tack GPS is a sophisticated tracking device that combines multiple technologies to provide accurate and reliable location data. Here’s an overview of how it works:
Location Technologies
GPS (Global Positioning System):
Tack GPS uses satellite signals to determine its precise location.
Ideal for outdoor environments where GPS signals are strong and reliable.
Wi-Fi Positioning:
In areas where GPS signals may be weak (e.g., indoors), Tack GPS can utilise nearby Wi-Fi networks to estimate its location.
Cellular Triangulation:
When GPS and Wi-Fi are unavailable, Tack GPS uses nearby mobile towers to triangulate its position.
Provides location data even in remote or urban environments with limited connectivity.
Communication
Mobile IoT Network:
Tack GPS communicates its location information over the mobile IoT network to our secure cloud service.
This ensures continuous data transmission and seamless operation wherever there is mobile network coverage, similar to a smartphone.
Accessing Location Information
The location data is sent to our hosted secure cloud service.
The Tack GPS or OurSphere app retrieves this information, allowing you to monitor the device’s location from your smartphone.
Key Benefits
Works Anywhere:
As long as there is supported mobile network coverage, Tack GPS will function reliably.
Up-to-Date Interval Tracking:
Access accurate location updates via the OurSphere app.
Secure and Private:
All location data is transmitted and stored securely, ensuring your privacy.
