Power Saving Mode

Modified on Mon, 2 Dec at 11:47 AM

Power Saving Mode is for Tack GPS users looking to optimise the battery life for low priority tracking

In Power Saving Mode, Tack GPS sends an update every 4 hours when the device's location changes, or every 24 hours if the device's location does not change. This allows the battery to last up to 90 days.

Note: We highly do NOT recommend this mode for tracking people, pets or frequently moving assets.

Warning: Switching out of Power Saving Mode automatically may take up to 24 hours.

To change tracking mode manually:

  1. Select your desired tracking mode from the app, and
  2. Press the power button on the Tack GPS tracker once for an immediate update.
