What Are Zone Alerts and How Do I Create Them?

Zone Alerts allow you to set customisable geographical boundaries, known as Zones, to monitor the movement of your Tack GPS device. These Zones help you receive notifications whenever your device enters or leaves the specified area, providing added peace of mind.

What Are Customisable Zones?

• Definition:

  • Zones are 4-point geofences that you can set up to create virtual boundaries around specific locations.

• Purpose:

  • Track your Tack GPS device more accurately and receive alerts whenever it moves in or out of these predefined areas.

• Customisation:

  • Set up to 8 Zones for each Tack GPS device through the OurSphere app.

How to Add and Customise Zones

1. Open the OurSphere App:

   • Ensure you have the latest version installed from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

2. Select Your Device:

   • Tap on the relevant Tack GPS device in the My Devices List or via the Map view.

3. Access Zone Settings:

   • Tap on the Zones button within the device focused view.

4. Create a Zone:

   • Use the app’s interface to draw a 4-point boundary around your desired location.

   • Name your Zone for easy reference (e.g., “Home” or “School”).

5. Save and Enable Alerts:

   • Save the Zone and enable notifications to receive alerts when your device enters or leaves the area.

Q1: How many Zones can I set up?

• You can set up to 8 Zones per Tack GPS device.

Q2: Can I edit or delete a Zone?

• Yes, you can modify or remove Zones anytime through the OurSphere app under the device’s Zone settings.

Q3: Will I be notified immediately when my device crosses a Zone boundary?

• Notifications are not immediate. Depending on your tracking mode, the device checks its location at its set intervals and sends an alert after determining if a boundary has been crossed.

Q4: Do Zone Alerts work in all supported countries?

• Yes, as long as the Tack GPS device is in a country with supported network coverage, Zone Alerts will function.
